All the requests were measured against the criteria of the Charity’s objectives and public benefit in the communities of Haddenham and surrounding areas. The following 12 applications were approved and Grants totalling just short of £17,500 were agreed and committed. Two applications were given approval once further information had been obtained, these are: Haddenham Table Tennis Club: £1.000 to replace flooring. The Committee want to ensure that this does not fall within the remit of the Parish Council before funding. Haddenham Library: An amount to be confirmed to be used towards running costs once funding from council is lost. The Committee approved funding in principle but will revisit once the extent of the support required is known. There we unfortunately 3 applications that had to be rejected a follows: Steeple Claydon Drama Society Christmas Play: £1,000. This request was declined as the project has no visible links to Haddenham and the surrounding areas which is required in order for the committee to be able to approve. Sarah Bishop: Funding medical placement in Sydney, Australia. This request was declined as it is not within HBFT remit to fund education costs for private individuals. Asthma Relief: Various levels of funding for Asthma equipment. This request was declined as this is a countrywide project that has no specific links to Haddenham. It would be considered if a direct application for equipment was made by a resident in our area or their Doctor. The next quarterly meeting of the Trustees to discuss Grant applications will be on Sunday 13th November 2011. All new applications should be submitted via the Application Form on the Beneficiaries page on the website by Tuesday 8th November 2011. Leave a Reply |
