Ciders Winterfest 2011

We have just received confirmation of the ciders that will be available at the Winterfest. Mind you based on past experience there is no guarantee that what is delivered a few days before will be exactly as described but then again that’s the fun of drinking cider.

HuntsYour Guess is as good as ours!Medium SweetCiders are made up of predominantly Devonshire varieties such as Brown's apple, Sweet Alford and Tremletts Bitter.
Wilkins6%MediumWent down very well at the Summer 2011 festival.
Produced on the Somerset levels by Roger Wilkins, a character you may have seen on Jamie’s Great Britain on Channel 4.
Double Visionapprox 7.4%Medium DryFrom Maidstone, Kent. Double Vision produces unfiltered cider using Kentish apples
Scropton6.2%MediumNot from a traditional cider area. Named after the small village in Derbyshire where it has been produced for the past 5 years.
Sarah's approx 6%Medium DryHome produced apples at from Ledbury in Herefordshire. Sarah is the granddaughter of Bill Symonds (Scrumpy Jack) and started producing her own cider in November 2004.
Gwynt y ddraig Two Treesapprox 6%PerryFrom Pontypridd, Gwynt y Ddraig Cider started production in the late autumn of 2001. Many awards for their cider and perry
Parsons Choice 6.5%SweetParsons Choice Cider is a family run business which was started in 1988 at West Lyng nr Taunton. Have grafted their own variety of apples, Lyng Sunset, to blend with more traditional varieties.
Thatchers Gold 4.8%MediumGold tastes as good as it looks - a crisp, refreshing cider with a smooth 'appley' taste and a bright sparkle.

The Winterfest is on December 10th at the Village Hall, Banks Road, Haddenham between the hours of 12noon and 5pm. See you there!
